Witche's Brew band was born from the association of two well-known soloists of the Italian music scene: Mirko Zonca, pioneer of the Psychedelic Grunge in the late 1980s, and Mirko Bosco, ex guitar player of the historic DISPER-AZIONE band (1985 - 89), recently back in Italy. The result is a sound that widely hints to the Seventies atmosphere, with blues and psychedelic nuances but the same strength as Black Sabbath. After an initial period of adjustment, the band (under the final form of a Power Trio) set out for a journey that would have led it to perform almost exclusively abroad.

Witche's Brew - cronologia. White Trash Sideshow è il secondo album in studio dei Witche's Brew, pubblicato nel 2012 dalla Black Widow Records.
Witche's Brew could have released the best Stoner Doom album of the year 2010. Among the whole Occult Doom wave that lately seems to be rolling over the Italian shores, there's also a cool, yet small, Stoner Doom scene. And this is exactly what brings Witche's Brew here: a great mix of US heaviness (think Solace in their best moments, or even Earthride), blues from the south of the Rio Grande (there's more than one nod to ZZ Top in Mirko's ultra dirty vocals) and UK psychedelism (the nearly 11 minutes of 'Double Trouble', with more than half of. the song being an improvisation on guitars, would put Hawkwind to shame and make Acrimony light a big blunt in approval)
Witche's BREW - white trash sideshow. Black Widow is specializing itself into obscure Italian bands. The red line between the bands I’ve heard from that label until now is that they all have a typical Seventies or early Eighties sound. Witche’s Brew is also such a band but the difference between them and the other releases I’ve heard is that they are less Doom. Yet Witch’s Brew sounds more in vein of NWOBHM bands and there’s also some kind of psychedelic American brand into their music. Their music often makes me think to those typical Seventies movies or documentary’s. I remember seeing a great movie about Charles Manson, the mass killer and some of these songs would have fitted that film perfectly.
