OUTER LIMITS are a Japanese band who have been around since the eighties. Their previous record before this one was released in 1989, so yes they have reformed and this is a comeback album of sorts. Organ, violin and guitar lead the way and there are vocals (English) on four tracks. And that is my biggest complaint with the music, I just don't like the vocals at all.
The Outer Limits were a 1960s rock group formed in Leeds. They released a single for Deram Records in April 1967, and one for Immediate Records (IM067) in May 1968, the latter was withdrawn then re-released five months later on the Instant subsidiary label as IN001. Singer Jeff Christie went on to find success with his group Christie; their song "Yellow River" reached the number one spot in several countries during 1970. Jeff Christie, guitar and vocals.

The Outer Limits (band), 1960s English band. The Outer Limits (album), a 1993 Voivod album. The Outer Limits is the eighth album release, and the seventh studio album, by Canadian heavy metal band Voivod. It was issued via Mechanic/MCA Records in 1993, following the release of the compilation The Best of Voivod. The album features a cover of "The Nile Song", originally by the British progressive rock band Pink Floyd, and Voivod's longest song "Jack Luminous", tracking in at 17 minutes and 26 seconds. All tracks written by Bélanger, D'Amour and Langevin, except where noted.
And although the band offers several strong compositions, it soon becomes apparent that Voivod had already peaked artistically on their three preceding albums. Perhaps the band's chemistry was knocked off balance by the defection of original bassist Jean-Yves Theriault after Angel Rat's completion. Present is the group's second Pink Floyd cover, the Roger Waters composition "The Nile Song" (they had covered "Astronomy Domine" earlier)
