Escapade by Jerry D'Souza. Escapade by Dan McClenaghan. Shop Music & Tickets. Learn how. About Bob Sneider. My interest in jazz began during my undergraduate days at Tulane University during the early 1970s. I was already a fan of Frank Zappa and after hearing his composition The Eric Dolphy Memorial Barbecue I happened to see a Dolphy LP and I ended up acquiring nearly his entire discography. Being in the southeast had its drawbacks, as national jazz acts weren't playing all that often where I was living.
Escapade is the first solo album by Split Enz frontman Tim Finn. After the release of Split Enz 1982 album Time and Tide, Tim Finn decided to give the band a break after 10 years. Younger brother Neil Finn worked on some demos for the upcoming Split Enz album, while percussionist Noel Crombie released the single My Voice Keeps Changing On Me. It was Tim's intention to take the time to work some of the new songs that he wanted to release, but felt were not Enz material.
LATIN ESCAPADE - George Shearing. Sometimes I wonder if fans of Jazz who grew-up listening to the music in the 1940’s and 50’s realize how fortunate we are that so much of it has been re-issued in CD and Mp3 formats.
