Monday, 13 April 2009. Dr. Brown - In the World of Dreams. My only previous contact with Dr Brown was with 'Freakbeat', a fine track they contributed to the 'Psychedelic Psauna' compiliation. With its improvised sonic lunacy and very bassy groove, it sounds like it's being transmitted live from some deep underground festival. I never managed to track down any more of their output, but thanks to Kev, ex-singer with Dr Brown, I acquired this album a couple of months ago and it's been on heavy rotation ever since
In the photos I posted, the previous owner of the album scratched the promo info off the labels. These photos will do until better ones are posted. Surprisingly much of Brown’s material is melodic with soulful bluesy overtones, though in June of 1968 The Crazy World Of Arthur Brown was the mini freakout and hell bent darker side of psychedelia, with Fire, a song that seemed much longer during those hot summer nights than the two minute and fifty-five second running time, a song that easily gave Screamin’.
A Head Full of Dreams" is a song by British rock band Coldplay. It is the first track and the fourth single from their album of the same name (2015). The song was recorded by the band during sessions for their seventh studio album in 2014, at their purpose-built studios The Bakery and The Beehive in North London, England, both originally constructed for work on their three previous studio albums.
A Head Full of Dreams is the seventh studio album by the British rock band Coldplay. It was released on 4 December 2015, by Parlophone in the United Kingdom, and by Atlantic Records in the United States. Coldplay recorded the album from late 2014 to mid 2015, right after the completion of their previous album Ghost Stories, with a markedly different style and sound from its predecessors.
Though a bit over the top, this album was still powerful and surprisingly melodic, and managed to be quite bluesy and soulful even as the band overhauled chestnuts by James Brown and Screamin' Jay Hawkins. Spontaneous Apple Creation" is a willfully histrionic, atonal song that gives Captain Beefheart a run for his money. This CD reissue includes both mono and stereo versions of five of the songs

A Head Full of Dreams is Coldplay’s chance to reassert the eager-to-please exuberance that Ghost Stories deliberately downplayed and prove that Adele isn’t the only artist who can mobilize a monoculture in 2015. His relentless need to take us higher feels most genuine when we get a sense of what got him so low in the first place. Everglow" and the Tove Lo collab "Fun" bring ultimate closure to the Gwyneth saga with a pledge to enduring friendship (and, to prove it, the former track features Martin’s ex on backing vocals). And despite bearing a title that isn’t going to dispel their poor-man’s U2 rep, "Amazing Day" is a sweet ode to blossoming, post-divorce romance that channels the winsome charm of early singles like "Shiver".
