Something Left Behind Lyrics. I poured my heart out I told you to keep this to yourself I know that it's all my fault I know that it's all my fault. The best and worst years of my life Fell into these lines The best and worst days of my life Just fit into these lines. Cause every second that you give Is every life that you could have lived And all those people you could have have been You have to let them be Something left behind. So hold onto my number And please pick up the phone I miss the sound of all your voices And even when I'm gone I've written songs about growing old I wrote some along the road And I write them all for my friends So where ever I may go I hope that you can hear me (I hope I can. sing them loud) I hope that you can hear me (They can hear me back home) I hope that you can hear me (I said it and I meant it) I hope that.

Something Left Behind by Transit, released 22 February 2011 Stay Home: So many days and nights of my life escape. It always fades away with time. The color fades away) It's this feeling that has me going nowhere, gaining nothing at all. If anyone should find you staring up at the unending sky. What if I was smiling and running into your arms. It's safe to say life seems hopeless.

Something Left Behind’ is a compilation of stripped down tracks from each of Transit‘s previous exports plus four new songs, blending beautifully into one easy listening set. The release is laced with enough pleasant, catchy guitar work that never tries too hard and sorrowful vocals to induce emotional affinity with the tracks, something often lost in speedy tempo, mainstream-tailored pop-punk. At times the similarities between songs cause the record to sound slightly labored, but persevere and the warmth and simplicity of the tracks take root in your head.
Shortly after a year of their debut full length, Transit has returned to show a softer side of themselves with ‘Something Left Behind’. Containing nine newly recorded acoustic tracks, Transit has done a great job at creating an album that’s easy to listen too and fun to just sing along with no matter what kind of mood you are in. One of the things that save this album from being just full of random, no meaning acoustic songs is that range of emotions mentioned earlier.
Something Left Behind. Mightier Than Sword Records. Indoor Voices kicks off the record in a way that you would expect from Transit, leading into the acoustic version of Please Head North, from the band’s split with Man Overboard and their latest full-length Keep This To Yourself, which is one of the bands more popular tracks. The track is a great example of the talent all members of the band possess, with the acoustic guitars mixing well with front man Joe Boynton’s voice, and the rougher backing vocals from guitarist Tim Landers, which is one of the real strengths of the band.
Transit: Something Left Behind. By Patrick Haynes · On February 23, 2011. With their sixth release, the boys in Transit are growing up. The mostly acoustic EP, Something Left Behind, features the Boston, Mass. pop/punk band revisiting five songs from their previous releases and reworking them acoustically. The album opens up with a new track, Indoor Voices, which sounds more similar to Jesus from Brand New’s The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me than any other song in Transit’s discography. The intro guitar riff bears resemblance to the lead guitar in Jesus. As Boyton sings in the end, Take me away, to give me all the attention, the attention that we all crave, it sounds like he is emoting in a way very similar to Jesse Lacey of Brand New.
